Ballet Around the World: Cambodia

I found some exciting news as I was searching for dance articles today! The country of Cambodia, located on the southern portion of the Indochina peninsula, will be opening a ballet school and two private arts schools - the first of their kind!
British dancer Stephen Bimson, who first came to Cambodia as a dance volunteer with Outreach International, will be opening a school in the city's capital, Phnom Penh, with Devi Vahnon, a granddaughter of a Cambodian princess. In addition to the school, Bimson would like to set up an outreach program that will bring ballet to those children who normally would not be exposed to it.
Lee Chan-Hae, a former professor at Yonsei University’s College of Music, is the main man behind the Phnom Penh Institute of Art and the El Dreams Art School. Classes in fine art, music, and ballet will be offered to ages as young as 3 years old.
These two people dared to dream big to bring art to everyone! Do you have a dance dream?
