Youth Performing Art School's SPRING SPECTACULAR

Ballet Petite's Headliners perform in the Spring Spectacular, a huge showcase living up to its name featuring Hip-Hop, Jazz, Musical Theatre, and Tap choreography. This year's performers were showstoppers, getting a standing ovation from the audience. So many of the older dancers perform in several recitals in one weekend and in several pieces in one recital; yet their energy never faltered. Every piece was fresh, exciting, and truly heart-stopping. Congratulations, dancers. You put the "spectacular" in the name.

Youth Performing Arts School's SPOTLIGHT ON BROADWAY

A Spotlight on Broadway showcases Ballet Petite's Showtime and Encores performers. Featuring choreography from a variety of genres, including Hip-Hop, Jazz, Tap, and of course Musical Theatre, this show represents the talent of our youngest triple-threats. After all, it's not a single light that makes a marquee; it's the dozens of tiny lights together that spell BROADWAY. Without one of the many bulbs, the show couldn't go on, and a single dancer makes all the difference. Congratulations to all Encores and Showtimers. Together, you really brought a spotlight to Broadway!

Youth Performing Arts School's ALICE IN WONDERLAND

Ballet Petite's production of Alice in Wonderland was a fantastic and whimsical success. It's always a joy to see the dancers perform for the first time on stage alone without their teacher. And this year's production turned out to be one of our best. Characters filled the stage in dance after dance, and the sold-out audience loved every moment of it.

Alice in Wonderland is based on Lewis Carroll's book of the same name. It follows little Alice, with her distinct blue dress and black headband, as she travels throughout Wonderland, wandering around in search of the slippery White Rabbit. She encounters the Caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat, Mad Hatters and DoorMice. She joins the procession of the Cards and narrowly escapes the clutches of the Queen of Hearts. She dances with Lobsters and finally manages to make it Back to the Real World after adventuring through Wonderland and the Rabbit Hole.
