Thanksgiving!

I love Thanksgiving. I love that in our busy society we take the time atleast once a year to be with our family and friends, and just glow with thanks. We have so much to be thankful for in our wonderful world and I feel so blessed to be here everyday! I am so thankful for my easy access to education! I am so thankful for my loving family! I am so thankful for the incredible people that I work with at Ballet Petite, and the better person I've become by just knowing them. What are you thankful for?

Happy, Happy Thanksgiving!

Love,
Leslie

Puppies..Robbers..Cruella..Oh my!

On Saturday I had the pleasure of teaching a classical Child Class in Bethesda! It was so much fun. We did the 101 Dalmatians story which I had never done before. You should have seen those little girls woof and scurry like puppies, tip toe like robbers, strut like Cruella, and prance like cats. They were superstar ballerinas! I think that is one of my new favorite stories to dance to because of the versatility and creativity of the girls!

Fancy Nancy

I have fallen head over heels in love with Fancy Nancy. I first was introduced to her at ballet petite and when I was at the book store I came across Fancy Nancy Splendiforous Christmas. I bought it because whenever I see a cute children's Christmas book, I must have it. I was in for such a treat! Nancy is my soul sister! She loves to make everything elegant and beautiful, and she delights in the beauty and culture around her. I think Fancy Nancy would definitely come to Ballet Petite and dance. It actually is quite perfect for her. I think there should be a Fancy Nancy goes to Ballet book!

On Wednesdays I sit at the front desk, and today happened to be a particularly gray day. The fun part about working at Ballet Petite though is that even when it is gray outside, it is sunny inside! A little girl came into the boutique, selected a ballet book, sat down on a chair, and read. It was absolutely adorable. Even now I can hear choruses of rarrrs, screams, and giggly tee hees. Children are so genuine and sweet, and I love seeing their little sunshiney faces everyday.
